CANCELLATION POLICY

There is a $10.00 cancellation fee on all reservations. After 14 days prior we hold the first nights deposit. No refund of deposit within 14 days prior to your arrival. No rescheduling within 14 days prior to your arrival. No refunds after occupancy. No refunds for early departures. You will be responsible for the total balance due if you do not cancel this reservation. No refunds for inclement weather.

During the winter months we do get some snow and ice storms. I would suggest that you bring a four wheel drive vehicle. If you do not have a four wheel drive vehicle, we have several and can drive you and your luggage to your cabin on the property. You can then hike out to your vehicle which can be left at the office (hike is between 500-1000 ft. depending on which cabin you are staying in).

CHECK IN POLICY

We have 7 very secluded cabins on 100 acres for your enjoyment. We are a family ran small business; therefore we do not keep regular office hours. Your cabin will be ready at 4:00 PM or shortly thereafter. You may check in anytime after 4:00 PM. We live on the property, and would like the opportunity to greet you upon your arrival; however that is not always possible. Please call at least 24 hours in advance of your arrival to take care of your balance and arrange for a check in time. If we do not answer please leave a message on the answering machine with your approximate time of arrival and how you would like to pay your balance. If we are unable to be here at your scheduled check - in time, we will leave your cabin key and a map on the office porch for you. If you have not called to arrange for the payment of your balance we will charge your credit card and leave a receipt with your key. If you have any questions about payment or check- in, please call in advance of your arrival (not the same day as we may not be in the office at that time). A map with directions to our office is attached to this email.

WHAT'S IN YOUR CABIN

Our couple's only cabins are for two adults only (no children) and include:

4-person hot tub, wood burning fire place, heat and air conditioning, TV, DVD, satellite, CD stereo, queen bed (we supply bed linens), fully equipped kitchen(we supply dish towels and dish soap), full bath (we supply bath towels and toilet tissue), charcoal grill (you bring charcoal), swing or rocker on porch, picnic table, & fire ring

Our 2 bedroom cabins (Sunset & Wildflower sleep 4) include:

6-person hot tub, wood burning fire place, heat and air conditioning, TV, DVD, satellite, CD stereo, queen bed (we supply bed linens), fully equipped kitchen(we supply dish towels and dish soap), full bath (we supply bath towels and toilet tissue), charcoal grill (you bring charcoal), swing or rocker on porch, picnic table, & fire ring

Fully equipped kitchens include:

Fully equipped kitchens include: stove, refrigerator, microwave oven, toaster, coffee maker, coffee filters, dishes, pots, pans, and silverware, dish soap and dish towels. You will want to bring your favorite skillet (ours are not Teflon coated), paper towels, napkins, food, charcoal for grill, beverages.

Don't forget to bring:

DVD's, your favorite skillet, paper towels, napkins, food, lawn chairs for outside, charcoal for grill, beverages, cell phone, iron, large towels for hot tub and blow dryer.

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW

While retreating to the Hocking Hills, we hope you will enjoy the fresh country air, scenic views and your stay with us. However, you are coming to the country! In addition to curvy roads, you will encounter hilly terrain, gravel roads, and there are no street lights. You may also encounter bees, ladybugs, spiders, mice, and inclement weather. No hunting, No ATV/ motorcycle riding and No land line phones.

Because of the seclusion of our cabins you might have a short walk (100-200 feet) down a lighted gravel path to your cabin. The Sunset, Sweet Seclusion and Happiness Is are the only cabins you can park at your door. We do supply a wagon for your convenience to transport your luggage, coolers, etc.

FIREWOOD NOTICE!

We will have firewood available that you can purchase on the property. It is available for you to get at your convenience from the wood shed for a small fee. We only charge enough to cover our cost. YOU CAN NOT BRING YOUR OWN FIREWOOD! Ohio's Department of Natural Resources and Department of agriculture are trying to stop the spread of the EMERALD ASH BORER which is an insect that kills ash trees.

Because this pest is extensively found in Michigan and in parts of Indiana, Illinois and Ohio, the movement of firewood around the state of Ohio has been banned. Guests are warned not to risk steep fines if caught bringing firewood into the area.
